Thomas C. Lawton, DMD, MS
A fourth-generation Floridian, Dr. Tom Lawton has been in private practice in Winter Park since 1973. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine with honors from the University of Kentucky, and completed a hospital internship in Boston.
He served as senior dental officer at the U.S. Coast Guard base in Yorktown, Virginia before returning to the University of Kentucky for his orthodontic residency, where he also earned a Master of Science.
He has served on the part-time faculty at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and is a past president of the Florida Association of Orthodontists. He is board certified and has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 1985.
Dr Lawton is married and has two children. He is proud to have his son Dr. Brett Lawton as his partner in the practice.
